DB2 Warehouse Manager for z/OS, V8.2 delivers a complete warehouse solution to use with your DB2 for z/OS. This new offering brings together the tools to build, manage, and access DB2 data warehouses. It is based on proven technologies and enhanced to offer additional function and to provide tighter integration among the components. Included in the DB2 Warehouse Manager for z/OS, V8.2 are:
- DB2 Data Warehouse Center, which is a GUI that integrates with the DB2 Control Center
- Warehouse agent for z/OS, which executes on behalf of the Data Warehouse Center and enables point-to-point data movement
- Warehouse transformers, which are stored procedures or user-defined functions that provide commonly used transformations for building data warehouses
- The Information Catalog, which helps end users find, understand, and access relevant information
- DB2 Universal Database® V8.2 Enterprise Server Edition (restricted use license)
Use DB2 Warehouse Manager for z/OS to simplify and speed your warehouse prototyping, development, and deployment to production. Integration with the Information Catalog enables you to satisfy user requirements for finding, understanding, and accessing the right data.

- Date manipulation
- Data cleaning
- Key generation
- Statistical calculations
These transformers augment the rich transformations available with SQL built-in functions, including:
- String manipulation
- Boolean operations
- Mathematical calculations
