In a VSE environment, ISQL results may be printed on any system-supported printer using VSE/POWER supported by the VSE/ESA operating systems. Any IBM 3270 Information Display System terminal printer supported by the Basic Mapping Support facility of CICS/VSE® or Transaction Server can print the ISQL results.
Software requirements
DB2 Server for VSE and VM V7.4 fully exploits and functions with the optional DB2 features at the V7.3 level (Data Restore and Control Center), RXSQL at the V7.1 level, and QMF at the V7.2 level.
In the VM environment, the DB2 Server for VM program product works with the following IBM licensed programs:
- z/VM (5654-A17) V3.1.
- z/VM (5739-A03) V4.3, or later. DB2 Server for VM is licensed for a standard engine environment only and is not supported in a z/VM V4 environment running on Integrated Facility for Linux engines.
- DRDA®-DUOW support requires APPC/VM VTAM® Support (AVS) and Coordinated Resource Recovery (CRR), which are part of z/VM V4.3, or later.
In the VSE/ESA environment, the DB2 Server for VSE program product and its features work with the following IBM licensed programs:
- Virtual Storage Extended/Enterprise Systems Architecture (5690-VSE) V2.6, or later
- VSE/VSAM, part of VSE Central Functions V6.6, or later, which is one of the base programs shipped with VSE/ESA V2.6, or later
Optional:
VSE/ESA consists of a number of base programs. DB2 Server for VSE may optionally use the following base programs shipped with VSE/ESA V2.6, or later:

- Data Propagator Q Capture for VSE
- Interactive users
- CICS transactions
- Remote Unit of Work (RUOW) application server and application requester functions of Distributed Relational Database Architecture (DRDA) over SNA
- Distributed Unit of Work (DUOW) application server function of DRDA over SNA
- VSE/POWER (part of VSE Central Functions V6.6, or later) is required for online environments doing report writing via ISQL.
- VSE/ICCF (part of VSE Central Functions V6.6, or later) is required for an interactive program development environment.
-
ACF/VTAM® for VSE/ESA (V4.2, or later) is required to support:
- RUOW application server and application requester functions of DRDA over SNA
- DUOW application server function of DRDA over SNA
- TCP/IP for VSE/ESA, V1.4 Application Pak, or later, is required to support RUOW application server and application requester functions of DRDA over TCP/IP.

OTC: Customers who pay a OTC for a licensed program receive enhancements and future releases, if any, at no additional charge. Significant new function may be offered as an optional feature and charged for separately.
Variable charges: The applicable graduated OTC, if applicable, or graduated MLC will be based on the group of the designated machine on which the licensed program is licensed for use. If the program is designated to a processor in a group for which no charge is listed previously, the charge of the next higher group listed applies.
For upgrades of OTC charge licenses to a machine in a higher group, the upgrade charge will be the difference in the then-current charges between the two groups. For downgrades of OTC charge licenses to a machine in a lower group, there will be no adjustment or refund of OTC paid.
For upgrades or downgrades of MLC licenses, the MLC applicable to the higher or lower group will apply.
ESL OTC: An OTC authorizes use only on IBM Entry End User/390 machines.
