End of Service Extension: IBM XL Fortran for AIX V7.1, XL Fortran Run-Time Environment for AIX V7.1

Overview

The end-of-service (EOS) date for IBM XL Fortran (XLF) for AIX^® V7.1 has been extended to December 31, 2003.

IBM XL Fortran for AIX V7.1 complies with the Fortran 95 standard and supports OpenMP Fortran API V1.1. XLF V7.1 generates highly optimized code designed to exploit the IBM RS/6000^® system architecture. It also provides additional portability enhancements including Structure, Union, the SIZEOF intrinsic, and portability compiler options.
