This suite of microcode support services are designed to provide you with planned preventative maintenance for your IBM System p, x, i, and Power Systems microcode. You can choose between analysis only or analysis and update of your microcode. Analysis includes all system microcode in your contract and the interaction between those systems as well as dependencies between hardware, microcode, device drivers, and operating systems. The results of the analysis are documented as recommendations in your support plan, which contains service level information. The microcode updates include:

  • A single point of contact for the service
  • Up to two scheduled microcode updates per year
  • Microcode updates performed onsite by an IBM Service Support Representative

Microcode support services are not being made available on IBM System Storage™ as part of this United States announcement. The suite of microcode support services are:

  • IBM Hardware Maintenance Services - maintenance enhancement - microcode support analysis for IBM System Storage, System p and Power Systems
  • IBM Hardware Maintenance Services - maintenance enhancement - microcode support analysis for System x®
  • IBM Hardware Maintenance Services - maintenance enhancement - microcode support analysis and update for IBM System Storage, System p and Power Systems
  • IBM Hardware Maintenance Services - maintenance enhancement - microcode support analysis and update for System x
  • IBM Hardware Maintenance Services - maintenance enhancement - microcode support analysis for IBM Systems in 1 partition of IBM i, i5/OS®, or OS/400®
  • IBM Hardware Maintenance Services - maintenance enhancement - microcode support analysis and update for IBM Systems in 1 partition of IBM i, i5/OS, or OS/400
  • IBM Hardware Maintenance Services - maintenance enhancement - microcode support analysis for IBM Systems in 2 partitions of IBM i, i5/OS, or OS/400
  • IBM Hardware Maintenance Services - maintenance enhancement - microcode support analysis and update for IBM Systems in 2 partitions of IBM i, i5/OS, or OS/400
  • IBM Hardware Maintenance Services - maintenance enhancement - microcode support analysis for IBM Systems in 3 to 5 partitions of IBM i, i5/OS, or OS/400
  • IBM Hardware Maintenance Services - maintenance enhancement - microcode support analysis and update for IBM Systems in 3 to 5 partitions of IBM i, i5/OS, or OS/400
