This release of the IBM® Coremetrics® Digital Marketing Optimization Suite extends its best-in-class analytics and digital marketing optimization capabilities with:

  • A new add-on, IBM Coremetrics Enterprise Analytics, to extend the capabilities of customers with large-scale, multi-site analytics implementations
  • New capabilities to enhance IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics
    • Tag management capabilities to make it easier for marketers to deploy and manage IBM Coremetrics and third-party tags without support from IT
    • A report module for IBM WebSphere® Commerce that provides joint customers of IBM WebSphere Commerce and IBM Coremetics Web Analytics with a clear view of their website and enables them to automatically create targeted marketing campaigns
    • General enhancements to usability and enterprise class scalability

This release of the IBM Coremetrics Digital Marketing Optimization Suite extends its best-in-class analytics and digital marketing optimization capabilities in the following areas:

  • IBM Coremetrics Enterprise Analytics: A new component for enterprises with from dozens to thousands of websites supporting large-scale, multi-site analytics implementations. Capabilities include:
    • Enables clients to view analytics data by individual sites and roll-up the data to the global level
    • Aligns analytics with the way that customers structure their business
    • Delivers more autonomy for the customer by enabling them to self-provision new sites as they come online
    • Eliminates double tagging and double server calls
    • Allows counts of individual visitors to be uniquely rolled-up in views (de-duplication)
  • IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics: This release adds tag management and ready-to-use reporting and data collection capabilities.
    • First, IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics is enhanced with a new tag management capability, the Digital Data Exchange, that makes it easier for marketers to deploy and manage IBM Coremetrics and third-party tags without support from IT. This new capability:
      • Radically simplifies the management of IBM Coremetrics and third-party tags, eliminating dependence on IT, decreasing time to market for new capabilities, and reducing the cost associated with tag management
      • Enables marketers to get to market more quickly with new content and partner capabilities
      • Improves measurements by providing a practical mechanism to deploy consistent tags on all pages
      • Capitalizes on years of experience in tag management and syndication with certified partners already on board
      • Does not require tag changes for existing IBM Coremetrics clients
      • Delivers the easiest-to-use solution in the market with an intuitive visual interface for managing and deploying page tags
    • Second, IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics is enhanced with out-of-the-box reporting and data collection facilities for use by customers with IBM Websphere Commerce. The Web Analytics Report Module for IBM WebSphere Commerce provides joint customers of IBM Websphere Commerce and IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics a clear view of their website and enables them to automatically create targeted marketing campaigns based on visitor behavior directly within the IBM WebSphere Commerce solution.

    This release also incorporates a Human Services portfolio that offers a variety of remote services for on-boarding IBM Coremetrics customers, including:

    • Consulting
    • Best practices
    • Training
    • Configuration
    • Analysis
    • Workshops

Finally, this release delivers administrative and user experience enhancements and additional recommendations logic for IBM Coremetrics Intelligent Offer.

New IBM Cormetrics Digital Marketing Optimization Suite components

This release delivers new components and enhancements to previously announced components.

IBM Coremetrics Enterprise Analytics

IBM Coremetrics Enterprise Analytics aligns reporting with the way that large enterprises manage their business by enabling them to analyze customer behavior and automate digital marketing programs for individual websites, logical groups of websites, and the business as a whole. IBM Coremetrics Enterprise Analytics enables customers to:

  • Align analytics with the way that clients structure their business
  • View analytics data by individual site and roll-up the data to the global level
  • Gain more autonomy by enabling you to self-provision new sites as they come online
  • Avoid effort and site performance hits for double tagging or double server calls
  • Count individual visitors uniquely in roll-up reports (de-duplication)
  • Manage sites by assigning friendly names, grouping sites, and cleansing accidental or unwanted tag data
  • Assign attributes to sites (for example, business unit, target audience, geography) and roll-up site activity based on these same attributes
  • Use the Hierarchy Report Type to intuitively report on activity at increasingly finer grains of detail
  • Share reports between multiple sites to reduce efforts and avoid creating and managing duplicates

Human Services

The Human Services portfolio delivers remote services for on-boarding new IBM Coremetrics customers. All services expire 90 days from purchase regardless of whether all hours have been used.

  • IBM Coremetrics Search Marketing Premium Onboarding Services provides up to 10 hours of remote consulting, best practices, training, and configuration for onboarding customers to IBM Coremetrics Search Marketing. Services are purchased per Client ID.
  • IBM Coremetrics LIVEMail Premium Onboarding Services provides up to 10 hours of remote consulting, best practices, training, and configuration for onboarding customers to IBM Coremetrics LIVEmail. Services are purchased per Client ID.
  • IBM Coremetrics Intelligent Offer Premium On Boarding Services - Flat File Delivery provides up to 40 hours of remote consulting, best practices, training, and configuration for onboarding customers to IBM Coremetrics Intelligent Offer for the flat file delivery method. Services are purchased per Client ID.
  • IBM Coremetrics Intelligent Offer Premium On Boarding Services - Dynamic or Mixed Delivery provides up to 48 hours of remote consulting, best practices, training, and configuration for onboarding customers to IBM Coremetrics Intelligent Offer for the dynamic or mixed delivery method. Services are purchased per Client ID.
  • IBM Coremetrics AdTarget Premium On Boarding Services provides up to 10 hours of remote consulting, best practices, training, and configuration for onboarding customers to IBM Coremetrics AdTarget. Services are purchased per Client ID.
  • IBM Coremetrics Tag Audit Services provides up to 16 hours of remote analysis of a customer's website for optimum tagging. This may include, but is not limited to, providing best practices and determining tagging requirements as well as identifying tagging gaps. Services are purchased per Client ID.
  • IBM Coremetrics Conversion Process Analysis Services Provides up to 48 hours of guidance using advanced analysis to drive deeper understanding of site results and to determine key problems and points of attrition. Services are purchased per Client ID.
  • IBM Coremetrics Site Performance Analysis Services provides up to 48 hours of in-depth analysis on the performance of visitor types and channels throughout the customer site, from entry to departure. This service also provides a site health assessment on the life-cycle visitor experience and the opportunities to improve visitor experience at key conversion points. Services are purchased per Client ID.
  • IBM Coremetrics Quick Start Tag Implementation Services provides up to 50 hours of accelerated baseline data collection by delivering a custom global Javascripti file to address the customer's tagging requirements and documentation needed to enable the customer to maintain the Javascript file. Services are purchased per web domain.
  • IBM Coremetrics Key Performance Indicators Workshop includes up to 40 hours of training to assist new and existing customers on how to use data to drive analysis and decision making. It provides guidance on key performance indicators and how to use the reports to drive business objectives. Services are purchased per Workshop.
  • IBM Coremetrics Explore Workshop includes up to 40 hours of training to enable the customers's business managers to better utilize data to drive analysis and develop an attribute tagging strategy to drive the best analysis. Services are purchased per Workshop.
  • IBM Coremetrics Enablement Workshop includes up to 30 hours of training to train new and existing customers on how to properly tag the website themselves instead of engaging an implementation engineer. Services are purchased per Workshop.
  • IBM Coremetrics Category Definition File Workshop includes up to 32 hours to help guide the customer in how to build a strong merchandising categorization framework to drive the data used for merchandising reports. Services are purchased per Workshop.
  • IBM Coremetrics Pay Per Click (PPC) Workshop includes up to 91 hours provides guidance and consulting for customers to better utilize analytics to track, optimize, and manage PPC Search marketing through reports. Services are purchased per Workshop.

Enhancements to previously announced components

IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics

IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics is the complete digital analytics solution that sets itself apart by providing marketers with not only data, but with answers for increasing return on investment.

New capabilities in this release include the Digital Data Exchange capability. JavaScript™ tags are used on websites to support a wide variety of analytics, marketing, and technical services. However, as website environments grow increasingly complex, implementing and maintaining tags is a constant battle that can be expensive, error prone, and put site performance and measurement at risk. The Digital Data Exchange radically simplifies the management of IBM Coremetrics and third-party page tags, making it possible for marketers to deploy and maintain website page tags with minimal support from IT.

The Digital Data Exchange features:

  • An intuitive user interface that enables marketers to specify which IBM Coremetrics and third-party tags should be executed on a given page
  • The ability to test that the tags are executing as desired
  • Marketer-defined page groups that accelerate deployment and improve the accuracy of data collection by deploying tags consistently across similar pages

An additional new capability added to IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics in this release is the IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics Report Module for IBM WebSphere Commerce. It provides reporting and data collection facilities for joint customers of IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics and IBM WebSphere Commerce. With the IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics Report Module for IBM WebSphere Commerce capability, joint customers with IBM WebSphere Commerce benefit from:

  • Shortened implementation time through auto tagging that eliminates many of the manual steps required in standard web analytics implementations and dramatically reduces the time required to deploy web analytics
  • Reports that are designed specifically for WebSphere Commerce environments leveraging common hierarchal structures and terminology, including the following report types:
    • Campaigns
    • Prmotions
    • e-marketing spot reports
    • Marketing experimentation
    • B2B contracts
  • Simple, powerful, segmentation and closed-loop marketing so marketers can leverage data in IBM Coremetrics LIVE Profiles and create targeted programs in the WebSphere Commerce Marketing Campaign System

Additionally, general enhancements to IBM Coremetrics Web Analytics in this release include:

  • Increases the limit of number of rows that can be exported from reports in the user interface
  • Enables convenient interaction with analytics by providing quick picks for frequently used report filters, enabling easier interaction with chart images, easier switching between Client IDs in the IBM Coremetrics Explore user interface
  • Makes it more convenient to perform speedy, exploratory analysis based on sampled data in IBM Coremetrics Explore by enabling users to launch the full data version of a sample-based report with just one click
  • Adds options that entitle customers to 40 or 80 additional backward-looking marketing attribution windows at the account level
IBM Cormetrics Intelligent Offer

IBM Coremetrics Intelligent Offer dynamically delivers relevant product recommendations to website visitors based on comprehensive visitor data. In this release, IBM Coremetrics Intelligent Offer enhancements include the following:

  • A more intuitive preview of recommendations, which enables marketers to see a visual preview of the output from IBM Coremetrics Intelligent Offer, including product thumbnail images
  • A new recommendations type of "recently viewed products" that selects products that a site visitor has recently viewed to be prioritized in the recommendation algorithm
  • Offer audit capabilities that enable administrators to keep a change history and reference which changes to settings were made by which user and when

Million Server Calls

Million Server Calls (MSCs) is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. MSCs are one (1) million Server Calls. A Server Call is data passed to and processed by IBM SaaS as a result of a tagged event, initiated by a tracked visitor for one Client ID. A Server Call processed by different Client IDs will be counted as a unique Server Call for each unique Client ID. A Client ID separates and/or controls access rights to data in the IBM SaaS which may encompass processed data from one or more Customer websites. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the number of Million Server Calls used during the measurement period specified in a Proof of Entitlement (PoE) or Transaction Document.

Million Marketing Impressions

Million Marketing Impressions (MMIs) is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. MMIs are one (1) million collected and processed marketing impressions. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the number of MMIs used during the measurement period specified in a POE or Transaction Document.

Engagement

Engagement is a unit of measure by which the services can be obtained. An Engagement consists of professional and/or training services including, but not limited to, a training event, business analysis, or a deliverable-based services event. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover each Engagement.

Entity ID

Entity ID is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. An Entity ID is a unique identifier which may be referred to in the SaaS envrironment by different terms that may include, but would not be limited to, Client ID, customer ID, partner ID, supplier ID, vendor ID or EDI ID within the IBM SaaS. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the number of Entity IDs identified in the IBM SaaS during the measurement period specified in Customer's POE or Transaction Document.

Thousand USD Marketing Spend

Thousand USD Marketing Spend is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. Thousand USD Marketing Spend is the amount of monetary spend by Customer on marketing initiatives expressed in Thousand United States Dollars (USD) as tracked by the IBM SaaS. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the total USD Marketing Spend during the measurement period specified in a POE or Transaction Document.

Thousand EUR Marketing Spend

Thousand EUR Marketing Spend is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. Thousand EUR Marketing Spend is the amount of monetary spend by Customer on marketing initiatives expressed in Thousand Euros as tracked by the IBM SaaS. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the total Euro Marketing Spend during the measurement period specified in a POE or Transaction Document.

Thousand GBP Marketing Spend

Thousand GBP Marketing Spend is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. Thousand GBP Marketing Spend is the amount of monetary spend by Customer on marketing initiatives expressed in Thousand United Kingdom Pound Sterling (GBP) as tracked by the IBM SaaS. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the total GBP Marketing Spend during the measurement period specified in a POE or Transaction Document.

Hundred Thousand YEN Marketing Spend

Hundred Thousand YEN Marketing Spend is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. Hundred Thousand YEN Marketing Spend is the amount of monetary spend by Customer on marketing initiatives expressed in Hundred Thousand Japanese YEN as tracked by the IBM SaaS. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the total YEN Marketing Spend during the measurement period specified in a POE or Transaction Document.

Thousand CAD Marketing Spend

Thousand CAD Marketing Spend is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. Thousand CAD Marketing Spend is the amount of monetary spend by Customer on marketing initiatives expressed in Thousand Canadian Dollars (CAD) as tracked by the IBM SaaS. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the total CAD Marketing Spend during the measurement period specified in a POE or Transaction Document.

Thousand AUD Marketing Spend

Thousand AUD Marketing Spend is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. Thousand AUD Marketing Spend is the amount of monetary spend by Customer on marketing initiatives expressed in Thousand Australian Dollars (AUD) as tracked by the IBM SaaS. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the total AUD Marketing Spend during the measurement period specified in a POE or Transaction Document.

Thousand SGD Marketing Spend

Thousand SGD Marketing Spend is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. Thousand BRL Marketing Spend is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. Thousand BRL Marketing Spend is the amount of monetary spend by Customer on marketing initiatives expressed in Thousand Brazilian Real (BRL) as tracked by the IBM SaaS. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the total BRL Marketing Spend during the measurement period specified in a POE or Transaction Document.

Ten Thousand USD Sales Revenue

Ten Thousand USD Sales Revenue is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. Ten Thousand USD Sales Revenue is the amount of revenue generated by Customer through tracked online initiatives expressed in Ten Thousand United States Dollars (USD) as tracked by the IBM SaaS. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the total USD Sales Revenue generated during the measurement period specified in a POE or Transaction Document.

Ten Thousand EUR Sales Revenue

Ten Thousand EUR Sales Revenue is a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. Ten Thousand EUR Sales Revenue is the amount of revenue generated by Customer through tracked online initiatives expressed in Ten Thousand Euro as tracked by the IBM SaaS. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover the total EUR Sales Revenue generated during the measurement period specified in a of POE or Transaction Document.
