DB2 Automation
Tool for z/OS,
V3.1 (5655-T59) allows database administrators to focus more on database
optimization, automates maintenance tasks, and provides statistical history
reports for trend analysis and forecasting.
Object profile enhancements:
- When selecting objects, DB2 Automation Tool can include all table spaces related
via referential integrity. For certain utilities, it is beneficial to execute
all referentially related objects at the same time in order to maintain referential
constraints.
- You can now update or repeat an existing object without having to add
a new object to or delete unwanted objects from the object profile.
Exception profile enhancements:
- Twelve new exception conditions are added under the DB2 DISPLAY category:
ARBDP, AREO*, AREST, AUXW, GRECP, LPL, LSTOP, PSRBD, RBDP, RBDP*, REFP, and
STOPE.
- A job is provided to migrate DB2 Automation Tool's DB2 V7 repository
RUNSTATS statistics to its DB2 V8 or DB2 V9 repositories.
- A new repository table holds a row for each trigger generated by exception
processing, allowing exception triggers to be easily viewed and analyzed.
- A new exception condition was added for index LEAFFAR splits percentage.
Utility profile enhancements:
- The job-level REBIND utility option has been replaced with a full-featured
REBIND utility profile option. Plans and packages dependent on all or triggered
objects may be rebound, and various REBIND options will be supported.
- Predefined mapping tables can be used for the online REORG utility. You
can:
- Create the mapping table
- Use an existing table
- Allow DB2 Utilities
Enhancement Tool, if installed and configured, to handle the mapping table
creation
- User skeletons can now be specified both before and after a utility step.
- New skeleton variables &USRUSTEP and &USRPRTNB are added.
- A DISCARD data set name for the REORG utility can be constructed using
data set name generation codes, similar to image copy data set names.
- Disposition of image copy data sets can be specified more precisely with
new options on the image copy options panel.
- Cleanup of the jobs reporting facility, under the MODIFY utility, now
allows cleanup of the repository tables based on job profile name or creator.
Job generation enhancements:
- A new job generation option allows you to specify a pre-job generation
exit that can be used to customize the order of jobs, steps, and objects.
Before the job is generated, information can be passed to a user exit about
the job breakdown, including step order and statistical information about
the objects. This information can be used to customize the job to meet certain
user requirements.
- Setup and job profile override parameters allow you to specify secondary
allocation as a percentage of primary allocation for work data sets from 1
to 999%. You have the flexibility to specify a secondary allocation larger
than the primary.
- Job profiles support build control cards that can be written to members
of a partitioned data set based upon the step name. The generated JCL will
include these members through the SYSIN DD statement.
- A post-generation user exit option allows you to further customize the
JCL and control cards after the job has been generated.
- Warning messages are provided when renaming profiles.
- The objects in each job generated are displayed by the batch job generate
report.
- An option is provided to bypass the job registration step.
- The maximum number of objects per step functionality in job generation
options is extended to all utilities.
Other enhancements:
- Support for the UNLOAD utility has been added, allowing you to generate
JCL to unload data from tables.
- On DB2 V8,
or later, subsystems, internal processing can take advantage of DB2's multi-row
fetch feature to enhance performance.
- Scalability is improved by taking advantage of extended addressability.
The 64-bit architecture allows DB2 Automation Tool V3.1 to handle larger
groups of objects, such as those found in SAP environments.
- A new DB2 command
processor provides the ability to issue DB2 commands from within DB2 Automation
Tool.
- A new SSID selection function allows you to select a DB2 subsystem
ID from a displayed list of SSIDs.
IMS Index
Builder for z/OS,
V3.1 (5655-R01) provides improved technology for the recovery, maintenance,
and addition of IMS indexes
and eliminates the need to image copy index data sets for recovery and backup
purposes. IMS Index
Builder allows you to rebuild IMS indexes rather than recover or reorganize
them using the traditional unload and reload processes used for the primary
data store. This eliminates the need to image copy indexes, means faster
recovery and reorganization times, and allows for adding new indexes quickly
without the need to reorganize the primary databases. Index Builder provides
an easy-to-use, one-step procedure for building all IMS index types, including primary, secondary,
and indirect list data sets.
Index Builder:
- Provides advanced technology for IMS Index recovery, maintenance, and creation
- Substantially reduces processing time compared to traditional methods
- Eliminates the need to image copy index data sets
- Provides easy-to-use front-end for setup
IMS Index
Builder offers the following features:
- Provides full support for IMS High Availability Large Database (HALDB)
and for Database Recovery Control (DBRC).
- Offers an option to either directly scan the target database or use the
DFSURWF1 file as input to build IMS secondary indexes. DFSURWF1 is created
by the IMS reorganization
reload or the initial load utility.
- Extracts data needed for prefix resolution from the DFSURWF1 file and
writes it to a new data set. This split function reduces the size of the sort
to perform prefix resolution.
- Initializes empty IMS secondary index databases.
- Creates separate address spaces for scanning prime database data sets
and sorting index records.
- Builds primary indexes of HIDAM and PHIDAM databases using an existing
primary index as input.
- Creates new primary indexes of HIDAM and PHIDAM databases where input
is based on a scan of the physical database without using the existing primary
index.
- Supports IDCAMS delete/define functionality for data sets being built
based on a user-provided procedure library so that no preliminary IDCAMS job
steps are required.
IMS Index
Builder for z/OS,
V3.1 contains all of the features and functions of the previous version and
much more. The enhancements include:
- A new sequential scan technology for building primary and secondary indexes
designed to improve performance with reduced elapsed time.
- New function to build ILDS indexes.
- Support of secondary indexes with non-unique keys.
- Ability to rebuild selected PSINDEX partitions.
- Support for using PSE (Partition Selection Exits) when rebuilding PSINDEXes.
- Support for creating the HALDB ILDS where input is based on a scan of
the physical HALDB partitions without using the existing ILDS.
- Improved usability by routing of system messages from the subordinate
address spaces to the main address space.
- Integration with IMS Tools Knowledge Base for z/OS for storing and retrieving SYSPRINT
output data.
IMS High
Availability Large Database Toolkit for z/OS, V3.2 (5655-N46), formerly IMS High
Availability Large Database Conversion and Maintenance Aid for z/OS, has been
renamed to better match the functionality of the product. It provides application-enabling
features and system utilities for the improved management and operation of
the IMS High
Availability Large Database (HALDB) environment.
As you know, IMS databases
are increasing in size due to either regulatory compliance or the fact that
your company is reaching more customers and using more suppliers. IMS HALDB Toolkit
for z/OS will
help to alleviate people time and skills needed to perform application support,
analyze, model, and maintain IMS HALDBs. The new application support will help you
maintain 24 x 7 data availability. The application functions enable applications
to make better use of the HALDB environment while the system utilities provide
capabilities that can help improve HALDB serviceability.
IMS HALDB
Toolkit for z/OS,
V3.2 offers:
- Application support:
- Dynamic DFSHALDB Statement Build provides dynamic management of the DFSHALDB
statement by providing a key for the starting partition and a key for the
ending partition. You specify a key range and the utility transforms it into
a starting and ending partition. Thus, the application does not require a
change when partitions are split or consolidated.
- Partition Selection API provides a callable interface to assign a key
to a partition. This function will be useful for applications to split their
input on a partition boundary when parallel processing is desired. The API
returns the partition name and the partition number. It is not required to
run in a DLI environment.
- HALDB maintenance:
- Consolidate or split partitions: As the data grow or shift, partitions
grow or shrink. This allows handling this task with ease.
- Heal Index Pointer: After reorganizing the primary database, all secondary
index pointers need "healing" (the new "self healing" with HALDB). However,
this function may need resources during the peak time. This utility "heals"
the pointer offline (at a less expensive time).
- Load a single partition: Databases with secondary indexes must insert
the secondary indexes in random sequence when loading. This utility delays
the index insert to the end, then loads them in sequential sequence. This
method improves the elapsed time.
- Delete a single partition: When a single partition is deleted, the secondary
indexes must be rebuilt. This utility simply deletes all records from the
secondary indexes that reference the deleted partition. The entire process
is recoverable and fast.
- Merge HALDBs: When user partitioning (multiple identical DBs on different
key ranges) has been used, the conversion will transform the DBs to HALDB
first and after that merge them together using this process. This is a necessary
step when secondary indexing is desired, which was not possible when using
multiple DBs.
- Add an empty partition to the end of a database: This function is for
those databases that grow mostly at the end of the database.
- DBRC handling:
- Cloning DBRC definitions: The clone function replicates HALDB DBRC definitions
to other RECONs and allows you to exchange the high-level data set name qualifier.
- Copy a HALDB database to a different IMS system: Transfers a production HALDB
database into a different IMS and allocates the target data set in that system
if not already available.
- Backup DBRC Definitions: This utility saves database-related DBRC definitions.
It can be used as input for the batch DBRC utility (DSPURX00).
- HALDB Analyzer:
- Analyze the HALDB constructs: This function analyzes the HALDB structure.
It verifies that all root keys are in the correct partition, all ILKs are
valid, and all EPS pointers will find the correct ILE. Additionally, performance-related
data are collected. All this can be used to check the health of a HALDB.
The user may also provide thresholds to be informed when a maintenance function
is necessary.
- Extract root keys: This allows extracting all root keys to a sequential
file. A record layout is provided.
- System utilities:
- Split Unload File allows you to split an unload file into single partition
unload files. The reloads then can run in parallel. The single partition
unload files are standard Hierarchical Direct (HD) unload files with header
and trailer statistics. Each file contains only records for the selected
partition.
- Indirect List Key (ILK) Rebuild enables you to rebuild all ILKs and their
references and allows you to resolve conflicting ILKs. The databases must
be offline for this activity.
- ACBLIB reference provides a list of all Program Specification Blocks (PSBs)
that reference a given database, assisting in online changes by identifying
which PSBs require change.
- Create DBD source re-creates the DBD source statements from the DBDLIB.
- Convert to HALDB:
- Using an ISPF-based application for ease of use. All necessary steps
are generated.
- Using a single-step batch process.
- Allow for near online conversion in conjunction with IMS Online Reorganization
Facility for z/OS,
V1.2 (5655-H97).
- Generic partition selection exit.
- Testing of partition selection exits.

InfoSphere Classic Connector for z/OS, V9.5 (5655-R57), formerly WebSphere Data
Integration Classic Connector for z/OS, provides all the data access capabilities
of InfoSphere Classic Federation Server for z/OS, V9.5 (5655-R52) and all of the data
event publishing capabilities of InfoSphere Classic Data Event Publisher for z/OS,
V9.5 (5655-R54) licensed and priced specifically for use with InfoSphere Information
Server product modules. InfoSphere Classic Connector is ideal for you if you
plan to use data access or data event publishing only with these selected
Information Platform Solutions products.
The unrestricted InfoSphere Classic Federation Server for z/OS, V9.5 (5655-R52)
is the right product for you if you want to leverage the benefits of mainframe
data access more broadly in your enterprise; for example, for connecting an
enterprise portal to human resource data or accounting data that resides in IMS,
VSAM, or other database systems on System z.
The unrestricted InfoSphere Classic Data Event Publisher for z/OS, V9.5 (5655-R54)
is the right product for you if you want to leverage the benefits of data
event publishing more broadly; for example, for monitoring critical events,
initiating business processes, and for application-to-application integration.
InfoSphere Classic Data Event Publisher for z/OS, V9.5 (5655-R54), formerly WebSphere Classic
Data Event Publisher for z/OS, makes it easy to link changed-data events with
business processes as well as drive change-only updating of data warehouses,
data marts, and operational data stores. InfoSphere Classic Data Event Publisher
features support for the capture of changes made to IMS, VSAM, Computer Associates CA-IDMS, and
Software AG Adabas data and the publishing of these changes to WebSphere MQ
queues for general usage and alternatively to flat files for specific consumption
by InfoSphere DataStagetm.
Changes are captured during file I/O, active log or journal processing,
or by reading source-specific recovery logs. In general, captured data is
automatically reformatted into a consistent relational format before packaging
into either XML or delimited values format for publishing. Transactional integrity
is maintained and recovery is enabled for all sources. Any application, tool,
or service that integrates either with WebSphere MQ directly or supports Javatm Message
Service can asynchronously receive the data changes as they occur. A use-specific
native or raw file format specifically designed for use with InfoSphere DataStage is
also provided.
InfoSphere Classic Data Event Publisher features enable database events
to initiate business processes. For example, a change in an inventory value
could be used to drive a product restocking workflow, or the addition of a
customer record could initiate a new customer process that includes a welcome
e-mail, credit verification, and accounting update. This creates an application-independent,
loosely coupled integration that is more adaptable to changing application
environments. For example, while multiple applications may impact the value
of the inventory level, a single point of integration -- the data -- is driving
the workflow. Changes to the applications that impact the inventory level
can be made with no impact on the data event-driven integration. Business
can realize faster time to market because integration captures the event in
a single location, is more stable, and is easier to maintain.
Additionally, InfoSphere Classic Data Event Publisher solutions can deliver
changes to Extract, Transform, and Load tools like InfoSphere DataStage,
or custom-built processes for updating operational data stores or data warehouses,
minimizing bandwidth requirements and keeping target databases updated in
near real time. Businesses can utilize information that is far more current
for tactical and operational decision making.
This release provides numerous enhancements, including:
- Simplified integration with InfoSphere DataStage that eliminates dependence
on WebSphere MQ
for change data transfer
- Additional IMS capture
mechanisms that simplify recoverability while still providing low latency
change data capture
- Support for capture of IMS changes made by online or BMP applications in an IMS clustered
data environment
- Enhanced VSAM log capture and recovery features
- Dynamic configuration management through the Classic Data Architect component
of the product
- Support for metadata capture from PL/I data descriptions
InfoSphere Classic Federation Server for z/OS, V9.5 (5655-R52), formerly WebSphere Classic
Federation Server for z/OS, provides virtualized SQL access to mainframe databases
and files with transactional speed and enterprise scale without mainframe
programming. Using InfoSphere Classic Federation Server, applications and
tools can issue SQL SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE commands using open
database connectivity (ODBC), Java database connectivity (JDBC), or a
command-level interface (CLI) to access System z data stored in VSAM, IAM, and
sequential files, as well as DB2 UDB for z/OS, IMS, Software AG Adabas, and Computer Associates
CA-Datacom and CA-IDMS databases -- all without mainframe programming.

Replication Server for z/OS, provides System z data sourcing for IBM's queue-based
replication solution, InfoSphere Replication Server for z/OS, as well
as limited native z/OS data replication capabilities.
As a stand-alone product, InfoSphere Classic Replication Server provides
native unidirectional VSAM-to-VSAM replication.
As an add-on to InfoSphere Replication Server, InfoSphere Classic Replication
Server provides sourcing capabilities for VSAM files or IMS, Computer Associates
CA-IDMS, or Software AG Adabas database data. InfoSphere Replication Server
applies this source data to DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase target databases.
To support this heterogeneous replication, InfoSphere Classic Replication
Server automatically reformats captured System z data into relational constructs
before delivering it to WebSphere MQ. InfoSphere Replication Server then
picks up the changes from WebSphere MQ and applies the changes to the target
relational database. InfoSphere Classic Replication Server maintains transactional
integrity and is fully recoverable. It also supports the data access needed
for a bulk data load from the z/OS sources.
InfoSphere Classic Replication Server leverages a common infrastructure
with InfoSphere Classic Federation Server for z/OS and InfoSphere Classic Data Event
Publisher for z/OS,
including the Classic Data Architect GUI metadata management tool.

Value Unit-based pricing
Value Unit pricing for eligible IBM System z IBM International Program License Agreement
(IPLA) programs enables a lower cost of incremental growth and enterprise
aggregation. Each System z IPLA product with Value Unit pricing has
a single price per Value Unit and a conversion matrix, called Value Unit Exhibit,
for converting from some designated measurement to Value Units. Most commonly,
Millions of Service Units (MSUs) is the measurement designated by IBM to be converted
to Value Units. Some other measurements are engines or messages. Since MSUs
are the most common measurement, that measurement will be used for the remainder
of this description.
Value Unit pricing offers price benefits for you. For each System z IPLA
program with Value Unit pricing, the quantity of that program needed to satisfy
applicable IBM terms
and conditions is referred to as the required license capacity. Each
of the various Value Unit Exhibits stipulate that the larger your required
license capacity, the fewer Value Units per MSU you will need. Value Unit
Exhibits are uniquely identified by a three-digit code and referred to using
the nomenclature VUExxx, where xxx is the three-digit code.
Subsequent acquisitions of Value Unit priced programs offer additional
price benefits. The quantity of each System z IPLA program that you have
acquired is referred to as entitled license capacity. If you wish
to grow your entitled license capacity for a System z IPLA program, the calculation
to determine additional needed Value Units is based upon the number of Value
Units already acquired.
For each System
z IPLA program with Value Unit pricing, you should:
- Determine the required license capacity, in MSUs
- Aggregate the MSUs across the enterprise
- Convert the total MSUs to Value Units, using the applicable Value Unit
Exhibit
- Multiply the price per Value Unit by the total number of Value Units to
determine the total cost
To simplify conversion from the designated measurement to Value Units or
vice-versa, use the Value Unit Converter Tool. For additional information
or to obtain a copy of the Value Unit Converter Tool, visit the Value Unit
Converter Tool Web site
- http://ibm.com/zseries/swprice/vuctool
Note that Value Units of a given product cannot be exchanged, interchanged,
or aggregated with Value Units of another product.
To determine the required license capacity for the System z IPLA program you selected,
refer to the Terms and conditions section.

license capacity is based upon the following factors:
- The zSeries IPLA
program you select
- The applicable Value Unit Exhibit
- The applicable terms
- Whether your current mainframes are full-capacity or sub-capacity

Ordering example
The total number of Value Units is calculated according to the following
example.
If your required license capacity is 1,500 MSUs for your selected System z IPLA
product, the applicable Value Units would be:
Translation from MSUs to Value Units
MSUs * Value Units/MSU = Value Units
Base 3 * 1.00 = 3.00
Tier A 42 * .45 = 18.90
Tier B 130 * .36 = 46.80
Tier C 140 * .27 = 37.80
Tier D 1,185 * .20 = 237.00
Total 1,500 343.50
When calculating the total number of Value Units, the sum is to be rounded
up to the next integer.

Subscription and Support
To receive voice technical support via telephone and future releases and
versions at no additional charge, Subscription and Support must be ordered.
The capacity of Subscription and Support (Value Units) must be the same as
the capacity ordered for the product licenses.
To order, specify the Subscription and Support program number (PID) referenced
above and the appropriate license or charge option.
IBM is
also providing Subscription and Support for these products via a separately
purchased offering under the terms of the IBM International Agreement for Acquisition
of Software Maintenance (IAASM). This offering:
- Includes and extends the support services provided in the base support
to include technical support via telephone.
- Entitles you to future releases and versions, at no additional charge.
Note that you are not entitled to new products.
When Subscription and Support is ordered, the charges will automatically
renew annually unless cancelled by you.
The combined effect of the IPLA license and the Agreement for Acquisition
of Software Maintenance gives you rights and support services comparable to
those under the traditional ICA S/390 and System z license or its equivalent.
To ensure that you continue to enjoy the level of support you are used to
in the ICA business model, you must order both the license for the program
and the support for the selected programs at the same Value Unit quantities.
Single version charging
To elect single version charging, you must notify and identify to IBM the prior
program and replacement program, and the machine the programs are operating
on.
Customized Offerings
Product deliverables are shipped only via Customized Offerings (for example,
CBPDO, ServerPac, SystemPac®).
CBPDO and ServerPac are offered for Internet delivery, where ShopzSeries
product ordering is available. Internet delivery of ServerPac may help improve
automation and software delivery time. For more details on Internet delivery,
refer to the ShopzSeries help information at
- http://www.software.ibm.com/ShopzSeries
Media type for this software product is chosen during the Customized Offerings
ordering process. Based on your customer environment, it is recommended that
the highest possible density tape media is selected. Currently offered media
types are:
- CBPDOs - 3480, 3480 Compressed, 3490E, 3590, 3592*
- ServerPacs - 3480, 3480 Compressed, 3490E, 3590, 3592*
- SystemPacs - 3480, 3480 Compressed, 3490E, 3590, 3592*
*3592 is highest density media. Selecting 3592 will ship the fewest number
of media.
Once a product becomes generally available, it will be included in the
next ServerPac and SystemPac monthly update.
Production of software product orders will begin on the planned general
availability date.
- CBPDO shipments will begin one week after general availability.
- ServerPac shipments will begin two weeks
after inclusion in ServerPac.
- SystemPac shipments
will begin four weeks after inclusion in SystemPac due to additional customization,
and data input verification.

Maintenance) and does not require customer signatures:
- IBM Agreement
for Acquisition of Software Maintenance (Z125-6011)
These programs are licensed under the IBM Program License Agreement (IPLA) and
the associated Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance, which provide
for support with ongoing access to releases and versions of the program.

(voice support for defects during normal business hours), as well as access
to updates, releases, and versions of the program as long as support is in
effect.

Full-capacity mainframes
In cases where full capacity is applicable, the following terms apply.
Execution based, z/OS based, full machine based: The required capacity
of a System
z IPLA program with these terms equals the MSU-rated capacity of the
machines where the System z IPLA program executes.
For more information on mainframe MSU-rated capacities, visit
- http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/zseries/library/swpriceinfo/
Reference based: The required license capacity of a System z IPLA
program with these terms equals the license capacity of the applicable monthly
license charge (MLC) program. This MLC program is called the parent program.
Sub-capacity mainframes
In cases where sub-capacity is applicable, the following terms apply.
Execution based: The required capacity of a System z IPLA sub-capacity program with
these terms equals the capacity of the LPARs where the System z IPLA program executes.
z/OS based:
The required license capacity of a System z IPLA program with these terms
equals the license capacity of z/OS (and z/OS.e) on the machines where the System z IPLA
program executes.
Reference based: The required license capacity of a System z IPLA program with these terms
equals the license capacity of the applicable monthly license charge (MLC)
program. This MLC program is called the parent program.
Full-machine-based: The required license capacity of a System z IPLA
program with full-machine-based terms equals the MSU-rated capacity of the
machines where the System z IPLA program executes.
For more information on mainframe MSU-rated capacities, refer to The System/370tm, System/390®,
and System
z Machine Exhibit (Z125-3901), or visit the Mainframes section of
the System
z Exhibits Web site
- http://ibm.com/zseries/library/swpriceinfo/
For more information on sub-capacity System z IPLA terms and conditions,
refer to Software Announcement 204-184, dated August 10, 2004
For additional information for products with reference-based terms, System
z IPLA sub-capacity programs with reference-based terms adds value to
the parent program across the environment, regardless of where in the environment
the System
z IPLA program executes.
An environment is defined as either a single or stand-alone machine or
a qualified Parallel
Sysplex®. You may have one or more different environments across the
enterprise. To determine the required license capacity for each System z IPLA
program with referenced-based terms, each environment should be assessed separately.
When a System
z IPLA sub-capacity program with reference-based terms is used in a qualified Parallel
Sysplex environment, the required license capacity of the System z IPLA
program must equal with the license capacity of the parent program across
the Parallel
Sysplex. Qualified Parallel Sysplex refers to one:
- That meets the criteria defined in Hardware Announcement 198-001, dated January 13, 1998.
- Where MLC pricing is aggregated across the Sysplex
Sub-capacity eligibility
To be eligible for sub-capacity charging on select System z IPLA programs, you must first
implement and comply with all terms of either sub-capacity Workload License
Charges (WLC) or sub-capacity Entry Workload License Charges (EWLC). To implement
sub-capacity WLC or EWLC, a machine must be System z (or equivalent). On that machine:
- All instances of the OS/390® operating system must be migrated to the z/OS (or z/OS.e)
operating systems
- Any licenses for the OS/390 operating system must be discontinued
- All instances of the z/OS operating (or z/OS.e) systems must be running in z/Architecture® (64-bit)
mode
For that machine, you must create and submit a Sub-Capacity Report to IBM each
month. Sub-Capacity Reports must be generated using the Sub-Capacity Reporting
Tool (SCRT). For additional information or to obtain a copy of SCRT, visit
the System
z Software Pricing Web site
- http://ibm.com/zseries/swprice
You must comply with all of the terms of the WLC or EWLC offering, whichever
is applicable:
- The complete terms and conditions of sub-capacity WLC are defined in the IBM Customer
Agreement - Attachment for System z Workload License Charges (Z125-6516).
- The complete terms and conditions for sub-capacity EWLC are defined in
the IBM Customer
Agreement - Attachment for IBM eServer System z 890 and 800 License Charges
(Z125-6587).
Additionally, you must sign and comply with the terms and conditions specified
in the amendment to the IPLA contract - Amendment for IBM System z9® and eServer zSeries Programs
Sub-Capacity Pricing (Z125-6929). Once the amendment is signed, the terms
in the amendment replace any and all previous System z IPLA sub-capacity terms and
conditions.
Sub-capacity utilization determination
Sub-capacity utilization is determined based on the utilization of an eligible
operating system and machine (for example, z/OS running in z/Architecture (64 bit) mode
on a System
z (or equivalent) server).
Sub-capacity utilization is determined based on the utilization of a sub-capacity
eligible reference product and machine.
On/Off CoD
To be eligible for On/Off CoD pricing, you must be enabled for temporary
capacity on the corresponding hardware, and the required contract, Attachment
for Customer Initiated Upgrade and IBM eServer On/Off Capacity on Demand - Software
(Z125-6611) must be signed prior to use.
