|
IBM Implementation Services for Power Systems for PowerHA/XD GLVM for AIX enables disaster-recovery and data-mirroring capability for your data at geographically separated sites. It helps protect your data against total site failure by remote mirroring, and supports unlimited distance between participating sites. This service can also help improve data availability by providing continuing service for both planned and unplanned hardware or software outages for a two-site cluster. The distance between sites may be unlimited, and both sites may access the mirrored volume groups serially over IP-based networks. It also enables business applications to continue running at the takeover system at a remote site while the failed system is recovering from a disaster or a planned outage.
