Description |
IBM Cloud Managed Services is a physical run environment administered by IBM's Common Cloud Management Platform (CCMP), providing you with virtualized Microsoft Windows, IBM AIX, and Red Hat Linux operating system images on which you can run mission-critical applications in an IBM architected and managed delivery infrastructure.
IBM Cloud Managed Services offers innovative ways to help lower cost while maintaining or improving on existing services. It offers an easy way to order, implement, and realize the benefits of cloud computing. IBM Cloud Managed Services can help you:
- Avoid direct capital costs for new server deployments and the associated infrastructure and energy costs
- Provision new server images in hours or days as opposed to typical procurement and stand-up lead times
- More accurately map levels of service to the actual criticality of an application
- Build, customize, and "catalog" operating system and application software stacks, thus building a library that fosters standardization, improved quality of service, and lower application platform management costs
