Bottom rule

Toshiba® Global Commerce Solutions, a Toshiba and IBM® Company, gives consumers a personalized end-to-end mobile shopping experience for improved customer service and loyalty, helping retailers to increase their own productivity and revenue.

Highlights of Toshiba TCxAmplify:

Toshiba TCxAmplify works with Toshiba POS solutions, including 4690 OS-based solutions (for example ACE, SA, GSA, and CDSA) and VisualStore. It is architected as a highly-extensible solution that can also integrate with additional or third-party POS systems.

Note: Response times and scalability of virtual sessions have been validated in a controlled lab environment utilizing a 4900-785 controller and 4690 OS, but may vary in a live store environment depending on various factors including wi-fi latency, network load, controller hardware, controller load, POS application, consumer smart phone, and potentially other factors.

Overview
Bottom rule

Toshiba TCxAmplify V1.1 is a complete consumer mobile shopping software solution that creates a more interactive, immersive, and personalized shopping experience for consumers in a retail store environment.

Consumer mobile shopping allows retailers to differentiate themselves with a more engaging shopping experience, building brand loyalty, and increasing the effectiveness of promotions, while offering a faster, more convenient checkout option for mobile shoppers. Delivering information to customers directly on their personally owned smart phones increases opportunities for retailers. By connecting the retailer to the consumer throughout the shopping experience, the Toshiba TCxAmplify solution creates two-way communication that provides valuable insights to the retailer while delivering unobtrusive messages and alerts to the consumer.

Toshiba TCxAmplify also gives retailers a powerful associate queue busting capability, making them more versatile during peak shopping periods. Associate mobile queue busting increases shopper satisfaction while boosting total store throughput.

With Toshiba TCxAmplify, both consumer mobile shopping and associate queue busting are a natural extension of the store's existing POS solution, expanding the value of existing investments, creating a more satisfying store experience for shoppers, and potentially driving increased revenue and greater front-end efficiency in the store.

Bottom rule

The Toshiba TCxAmplify is:

The Toshiba TCxAmplify also benefits retailers with associate line/queue busting. Retailers can better manage peak operating periods by deploying additional store associates to the front-end. Combined with supported retail-hardened smart devices, the Toshiba TCxAmplify empowers store associates with capability to scan a customer's order while waiting in line, then print a suspend/retrieve label so they can complete the payment when the customer arrives at the register. This not only reduces the time waiting in line, it can also result in a net increase in total store throughput during the busiest shopping periods of the year.

Security, auditability, and control

Toshiba TCxAmplify includes a feature called "Trust Management Service" that provides retailers a way to ensure adequate loss prevention when a consumer mobile shopper uses a Toshiba self-checkout lane or a Toshiba POS register with SI GUI to check out. If the trust management service determines that the consumer needs to be audited, then an attendant or cashier is alerted to perform the audit at the self-checkout or POS register. The customer is responsible for evaluation, selection, and implementation of security features, administrative procedures, and appropriate controls in application systems and communication facilities.
