The API Management assembly component is delivered by IBM® WebSphere® Cast Iron® . To enable access to the assembly component, a new software license agreement for API Management V2.0, (L-SBRY-9C9G4X), is available to allow the use of WebSphere Cast Iron for only the API Management assembly component. Therefore, if you currently have entitlements to API Management V2.0, you can now use WebSphere Cast Iron for API assembly.
API Management takes advantage of the WebSphere DataPower® Application Optimization feature. To enable access to this feature, a new software license agreement for API Management V2.0, (L-SBRY-9C9G4X), is available to allow the use of this feature only with API Management. Therefore, if you currently have entitlements to API Management V2.0, you can now use the WebSphere DataPower Application Optimization feature.
All other information announced for API Management V2.0 in Software Announcement 213-148, dated April 23, 2013, remains unchanged.
Note: Use of the assembly component of WebSphere Cast Iron is a restricted use license to be used only for API assembly.
