IBM DemandTec Price Management

Retailers can automate their most cumbersome, time-consuming pricing tasks, and improve compliance with pricing rules and strategies. The on Cloud version is available as a Software as a Service (SaaS) offering.

IBM DemandTec Price Optimization

Retailers can deliver optimized base or everyday prices to achieve their sales, volume, profit, and price image objectives for regular, everyday items. The on Cloud version is available as a SaaS offering.

IBM DemandTec Promotion Optimization

IBM DemandTec Promotion Optimization uses consumer demand science to enable retailers to develop promotional offers and placement that maximize the total store impact of a promotion. DemandTec science takes into account cannibalization, halo effects, and cross-elasticity effects of regular retail and markdown programs in place. The on Cloud version is available as a SaaS offering.

IBM DemandTec Promotion Execution

Merchants, buyers, and planners can establish a single repository for all of the information and content about promotional offers, events, and in-store displays and signage. The on Cloud version is available as a SaaS offering.

IBM DemandTec Promotion Planning

A centralized system is delivered for merchants to plan their promotion details (timing, pricing action, availability, associated merchandising tactics, and more). The on Cloud version is available as a SaaS offering.

IBM DemandTec Markdown Optimization

This solution uses consumer-demand science to help retailers design optimal plans that set markdown timing and depth to maximize profitability or meet inventory on-hand objectives for every clearance item in every store. IBM DemandTec Markdown Optimization supports a wide range of markdown types, including seasonal, short product lifecycle, event and holiday, category reset, cycle refresh, and standard discount markdowns. The on Cloud version is available as a SaaS offering.

IBM DemandTec Assortment Optimization for Retail

This solution enables retailers to build optimal assortments by using item level incrementally, to build out assortments that align with store-level physical properties. It generates multiple optimization scenarios for varying objectives such as shelf utilization and sales optimization. The on Cloud version is available as a SaaS offering.

IBM DemandTec Shopper Insights for Retail

Shopper Insights provides visibility at all stages of the process through the appropriate mechanisms. This includes interactive collaborative dashboards and shopper analytics, which are embedded directly in the optimization and management apps customers are using today. Through the rapid delivery of relevant shopper analytics within core business processes, trading partners can make the right trade-offs to effectively develop the best solutions for their target shoppers. The on Cloud version is available as a SaaS offering.

IBM DemandTec Deal Management for Retail

The Deal Management solution enables retailers to automate and streamline the presentation, negotiation, invoicing, and reconciliation of trade promotions they receive from their vendors in a secure, web-based environment. The on Cloud version is available as a SaaS offering.

IBM DemandTec Platform Enablement Services

These required data integration services translate data into the required IBM DemandTec format.

These services loads all necessary data files, conduct data audits, provide feedback on data quality, maintains a data translation interface tool and ensures pricing information is seamlessly delivered back to the retailers' systems.

Also, econometric modeling services are provided to understand how customers respond to different marketing and merchandising activities at the store or item level. These modeling services generate the demand models and evaluate the model output to ensure it meets high-quality standards.

An on-going account manager is also provided to answer any questions, share best practices and ensure the retailer continues to successfully use IBM DemandTec Price and Promotion solutions.

IBM DemandTec One Time Set Up for Retail Products

A one-time, set up charge is required to provision and set up a customer's instance for each retail and managed cloud delivery product service offering. This fee covers a portion of up-front costs that relate to hardware, third-party software, infrastructure, and human services required for the provision and delivery of the IBM SaaS in the IBM environment.

Application

Application is a unit of measure by which the program can be licensed. An Application is a uniquely named software program that is separately installable on a computing device. Licensee must obtain sufficient Application entitlements to cover all Applications that incorporate any portion of, connect to, or are managed by the program.

Currency Value Unit

Currency Value Unit (CVU) is a unit of measure by which the program can be licensed. A Conversion Unit (CU) is a currency-independent measure of monetary amounts relevant to the licensing of the program. Currency-specific monetary amounts must be converted into CUs in accordance with the Conversion unit table ( http://www.ibm.com/software/licensing/conversion_unit_table ). Licensee must obtain sufficient entitlements for the number of CVUs required to cover the Relevant Monetary Amounts, as measured in CUs, as specified in the table below. CVU entitlements are specific to the program and may not be exchanged, interchanged, or aggregated with CVU entitlements of another program.

Engagement

Engagement is a unit of measure by which the services can be obtained. An Engagement consists of professional and training services that includes but not limited to a training event, business analysis, or a deliverable-based services event. Sufficient entitlements must be obtained to cover each Engagement.

Million Revenue Conversion Units

Million Revenue Conversion Units (MRCUs) are a unit of measure by which the IBM SaaS can be obtained. A Revenue Conversion Unit is a currency-independent measure of a Revenue amount relevant to the licensing of the IBM SaaS. Currency-specific revenue amounts must be converted into MRCUs in accordance with the table located at http://www.ibm.com/software/licensing/conversion_unit_table Sufficient entitlements must be obtained for the number of MRCUs required to cover the Revenue processed or managed by the IBM SaaS during the measurement period specified in Customer's Proof of Entitlement (PoE) or Transaction Document.

The following products are licensed using the Currency Value Unit (CVU) charge metric:

The Conversion Unit and Relevant Monetary Amount for the purpose of CVU licensing is 100 Million Revenue Conversion Units (MRCUs). Licensing

IBM International Program License Agreement including the License Information document and Proof of Entitlement (PoE) govern your use of the program. PoEs are required for all authorized use. Part number products only, offered outside of Passport Advantage , where applicable, are license only and do not include Software Maintenance.

This software license includes Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance).

These programs are licensed under the IBM Program License Agreement (IPLA) and the associated Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance, which provide for support with ongoing access to releases and versions of the program. IBM includes one year of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) with the initial license acquisition of each program acquired. The initial period of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) can be extended by the purchase of a renewal option, if available. These programs have a one-time license charge for use of the program and an annual renewable charge for the enhanced support that includes telephone assistance (voice support for defects during normal business hours), as well as access to updates, releases, and versions of the program as long as support is in effect.

Limited warranty

IBM warrants that when the program is used in the specified operating environment, it will conform to its specifications. The warranty applies only to the unmodified portion of the program. IBM does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the program or that IBM will correct all program defects. You are responsible for the results obtained from the use of the program.

IBM provides you with access to IBM databases containing information on known program defects, defect corrections, restrictions, and bypasses at no additional charge. For further information, consult the IBM Software Support Handbook found at

IBM will maintain this information for at least one year after the original licensee acquires the program (warranty period).

Money-back guarantee

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the program and you are the original licensee, you may obtain a refund of the amount you paid for it, if within 30 days of your invoice date you return the program and its PoE to the party from whom you obtained it. If you downloaded the program, you may contact the party from whom you acquired it for instructions on how to obtain the refund.

For clarification, note that (1) for programs acquired under the IBM International Passport Advantage offering, this term applies only to your first acquisition of the program and (2) for programs acquired under any of IBM's On/Off Capacity on Demand (On/Off CoD) software offerings, this term does not apply since these offerings apply to programs already acquired and in use by you.

Software Subscription and Support applies

Yes. Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) is included with licenses purchased through Passport Advantage and Passport Advantage Express® . Product upgrades and Technical Support are provided by the Software Subscription and Support offering as described in the Agreements. Product upgrades provide the latest versions and releases to entitled software and Technical Support provides voice and electronic access to IBM support organizations, worldwide.

IBM includes one year of Software Subscription and Support with each program license acquired. The initial period of Software Subscription and Support can be extended by the purchase of a renewal option, if available.

While your Software Subscription and Support is in effect, IBM provides you assistance for your routine, short duration installation and usage (how-to) questions, and code-related questions. IBM provides assistance via telephone and, if available, electronic access, only to your information systems (IS) technical support personnel during the normal business hours (published prime shift hours) of your IBM support center. (This assistance is not available to your end users.) IBM provides Severity 1 assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For additional details, consult your IBM Software Support Handbook at

Software Subscription and Support does not include assistance for the design and development of applications, your use of programs in other than their specified operating environment, or failures caused by products for which IBM is not responsible under the applicable agreements.
