WebSphere Commerce V7.0 Feature Pack 3.0 can help improve the shopping experience for customers using the WebSphere Commerce V7.0 platform:

  • Personalize experience based on user behavior, such as participation in social commerce activities and usage of coupons with granular precision marketing triggers
  • Allow business users to perform search engine optimization (SEO) by using the Management Center tool and to benefit from other SEO enhancements to help improve page rank

WebSphere Commerce V7.0

WebSphere Commerce allows companies to deliver a seamless, cross-channel shopping experience by enabling their users to deliver personalized and contextually relevant content, build precision marketing campaigns, and extend the brand into social networks. The WebSphere Commerce family of products includes:

  • WebSphere Commerce - Express, designed for small- to mid-sized businesses with fewer than 1000 employees, WebSphere Commerce Express supports business-to-consumer (B2C) business models and helps companies to launch an online presence with the basics and then grow as needs change.
  • WebSphere Commerce Professional provides a comprehensive cross-selling solution for mid-sized companies. It supports B2C business models and delivers a personalized, cross-channel shopping experience to help increase customer satisfaction and loyalty by strengthening relationships through the use of cross-channel precision marketing and merchandising.
  • WebSphere Commerce Enterprise delivers an interaction platform to streamline processes across multiple sales channels. WebSphere Commerce Enterprise helps companies create and administer multiple storefronts through a single platform.

WebSphere Commerce V7.0 Feature Pack 3.0

WebSphere Commerce V7.0 Feature Pack 3.0 delivers the following functional enhancements:

Tighter analytics, configurator, and order management integration

IBM Sterling Configurator: Integration with WebSphere Commerce allows business users to easily maintain product relationships and establish configuration rules, and allows shoppers to configure complex products via WebSphere Commerce storefronts. IBM Sterling Configurator allows businesses to easily guide various types of end-users through the process of finding, configuring, and selecting complex products.

IBM Sterling Order Management: Integration with IBM Sterling Distributed Order Management delivers a cross-channel shopping experience by processing and fulfilling orders across channels. In Feature Pack 3.0, the integration with Sterling Order Management is enhanced to provide order sourcing and brokering of products and product bundles and by offering visibility into available inventory.

IBM Sterling Distributed Order Management delivers flexible order process modeling in Sterling Order Management based on user-defined business requirements. It orchestrates orders across internal and external partner order management systems, including those at partners, suppliers, and vendors.

Coremetrics: This enhancement offers deeper integration with the Coremetrics Continuous Optimization Platform to allow business users to easily access relevant analytics reports and dashboards from the WebSphere Commerce Management Center. In addition, business users can export segments using customer behavior data collected from Coremetrics to WebSphere Commerce and use these segments to build precision marketing campaigns in the WebSphere Commerce Management Center.

Precision marketing triggers

WebSphere Commerce V7.0 Feature Pack 3.0 offers new and updated precision marketing triggers in addition to several triggers found in WebSphere Commerce V7.0. These triggers allow marketers to build an ongoing dialog with the shoppers and enable them to respond to customers' usage of promotional coupons. Additionally, these triggers allow marketers to track when a coupon is redeemed by a customer, monitor coupon redemption rates, and offer these customers similar coupons in the future. These new triggers also help marketers track and leverage their customers' interactions in social commerce activities when building marketing web and dialog activities (for example, positive reviews could help build a marketing campaign around a product).

Integrated search solution enhancements

In Feature Pack 2, WebSphere Commerce offered a new search solution that helps shoppers find products and services that best meet their specific needs through a simple keyword search and faceted navigation and which let business users define search business rules in the Management Center.

In Feature Pack 3, this search capability is enhanced to provide search runtime statistics for business users to refine the search business rules and to enable shoppers to search web content, product categories, and related information. It also integrates with Coremetrics to allow business users to analyze searches to optimize shoppers' search experience and improve conversion rates.

SEO enhancements

Feature Pack 3 enables business users to perform SEO using the Management Center tool. Other enhancements in support of SEO include shortening website addresses and surfacing meaningful keywords to help improve page ranking. Also, business users can use the Management Center tool to optimize keywords in website addresses, as well as to update the content of other important SEO locations in store pages, such as page titles. Improvements to the site map generator support this new SEO-friendly website address format so that external search engines can find and index store pages more easily.

Enhanced business user tools

With Feature Pack 3, the WebSphere Commerce Management Center tool is updated to enable administration of workspaces, which previously required the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator Workspace Administration tool. Further, business users should see improved function and usability in the task and task group approval processes with support for Management Center object history for updates performed in the workspace environment.

WebSphere Commerce V7.0 Feature Pack 3.0 is an optionally installable product extension. It offers incremental features to the base product.

IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite V9.1

The Version 9.1 release helps improve operational efficiency and customer service through new enhancements including:

Salesforce.com integration

Through a single sign-on, Salesforce.com integration enables a sales person to create a quote for an opportunity via Sterling integration into the quoting functionality in IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote. A sales representative can manage sales opportunities within Salesforce.com to create, revise, and negotiate one or more quotes for a given opportunity without leaving the Salesforce.com environment.

Quoting in call center

Companies that have implemented IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote can empower their customer service representatives (CSRs) with the same quoting capabilities as field sales representatives. With the Version 9.1 release, CSRs can generate a quote in a number of formats and templates that are tied to established pricing, discount, and quote expiration policies.

Quoting analytics

With the Version 9.1 release, business owners can analyze field sales performance metrics against targets by monitoring, including reports by margin, by sale (for example, Top 5, Revenue, and Number of Deals), by overall sales pipeline,and by field sales team/field sales person.

Order promising enhancements

Multi-hop purchase and transfer orders: Companies can select an optimal path for an order, including calculating the final delivery date, by taking into account the various stops and transfers required for final order delivery. It will also track and provide order status, such as shipment delays, throughout the delivery process.

Distance-based product sourcing: Companies can optimize shipping costs by sourcing a product from a single location or group of locations that are within a specified radius of the ship-to address.

Multiple inventory item numbers associated with a single selling item: Companies can associate a single selling item to numerous inventory numbers (SKUs), allowing them to track inventory levels from partners that use different inventory item numbers for the same selling item.

Real-time availability monitor: More accurate order promise dates can be provided by taking into account a location's lead time and business calendar. A matrix that displays what is available at each location as well as the available ship dates now take into account minimum notification times and business calendars to provide a more accurate promise date to the customer.

Ability to transfer costs between locations: Companies can refine the transfer costs between locations rather than just setting a standard transfer cost. They now have the flexibility to define different transfer costs for different transfer schedules between locations rather than one transfer cost for all inter-location transfers.

Sourcing rule options: Companies have additional flexibility to help control costs by defining sourcing rules at the sourcing rule detail level. Companies now have more flexibility in how shipments are consolidated as well as from what location to look at first.

Additional order fulfillment enhancements

Pricing rules for provided services: Companies can assign pricing rules to a delivery service. The assignment of a particular price or discount for an add-on service utilizes the existing pricing rules that are available in the Business Center, the tool to centrally maintain product information in their sales process.

Reverse authorization: Companies can reverse as well as re-authorize an expiring credit card authorization before it expires to accommodate order changes or cancellations, helping them to avoid credit card vendors' penalty fees for letting credit card authorizations expire on their own.

Application and database support

The IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite solutions are supported on the latest versions of application and database vendors' databases, application servers, and operating systems, including Oracle 11g R21, SQL Server 2008, and DB2® 9.7.

Drop ship integration

IBM Sterling Drop Ship can be integrated with IBM Sterling Order Management.

IBM Sterling Order Management enables a rich cross-channel customer experience by optimizing selling and order fulfillment processes across a dynamic business network of customers, suppliers and partners. IBM Sterling Drop Ship allows companies to effectively implement and manage order fulfillment directly from their trading partners and to orchestrate and automate the order collaboration process, all while managing a network of vendors throughout the order-to-cash process.

Payment Applications-Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) certification

The IBM Sterling Sensitive Data Capture Server, an included component of the IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite, is now PA-DSS certified for the IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Suite V9.0 release. PAA-DSS is a global security standard created by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC). Installability

Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) is included with licenses purchased through Passport Advantage and Passport Advantage Express. Product upgrades and technical support are provided by the Software Subscription and Support (Software Maintenance) offering as described in the Agreements. Product upgrades provide the latest versions and releases to entitled software, and technical support provides voice and electronic access to IBM support organizations, worldwide.

1 Million Order Lines

1 Million Order Lines is a unit of measure by which the program can be licensed. An Order means any document type defined in the program, including but not limited to: sales orders, purchase orders, quotes, schedules, plans, returns, shipments, and receipts. Order Lines are the line items on orders managed by the program. Licensee must obtain 1 Million Order Line entitlements to the program sufficient to cover to the total number of Order Lines processed by the program in any consecutive 12-month period.

Authorized User

Authorized User is a unit of measure by which the program can be licensed. An Authorized User is a unique person who is given access to the program. The program may be installed on any number of computers or servers and each Authorized User may have simultaneous access to any number of instances of the program at one time. Licensee must obtain separate, dedicated entitlements for each Authorized User accessing the program in any manner directly or indirectly (for example: via a multiplexing program, device, or application server) through any means. An entitlement for an Authorized User is unique to that Authorized User and may not be shared, nor may it be reassigned other than for the permanent transfer of the Authorized User entitlement to another person.

Note: Some programs may be licensed where devices are considered users. In that case the following applies: Any computing device that requests the execution of or receives for execution a set of commands, procedures, or applications from the program or that is otherwise managed by the program is considered a separate User of the program and requires an entitlement as if that device were a person.

Processor Value Unit

Processor Value Unit (PVU) is a unit of measure by which the program can be licensed. The number of PVU entitlements required is based on the processor technology (defined within the PVU Table by Processor Value, Brand, Type and Model Number at

This includes the number of processors made available to the program. IBM continues to define a processor, for the purpose of PVU-based licensing, to be each processor core on a chip. A dual-core processor chip, for example, has two processor cores.

Licensee can deploy the program using either Full Capacity licensing or Virtualization Capacity (Sub-Capacity) licensing according to the Passport Advantage Sub-Capacity Licensing Terms (see web page below). If using Full Capacity licensing, Licensee must obtain PVU entitlements sufficient to cover all activated processor cores2 in the physical hardware environment made available to or managed by the program, except for those servers from which the program has been permanently removed. If using Virtualization Capacity licensing, Licensee must obtain entitlements sufficient to cover all activated processor cores made available to or managed by the program, as defined according to the Virtualization Capacity License Counting Rules at

Licensing

IBM International Program License Agreement including the License Information document and Proof of Entitlement (PoE) govern your use of the program. PoEs are required for all authorized use. Part number products only, offered outside of Passport Advantage, where applicable, are license only and do not include Software Maintenance.

This software license includes Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance).

These programs are licensed under the IBM Program License Agreement (IPLA) and the associated Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance, which provide for support with ongoing access to releases and versions of the program. IBM includes one year of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) with the initial license acquisition of each program acquired. The initial period of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) can be extended by the purchase of a renewal option, if available. These programs have a one-time license charge for use of the program and an annual renewable charge for the enhanced support that includes telephone assistance (voice support for defects during normal business hours), as well as access to updates, releases, and versions of the program as long as support is in effect.

Limited warranty

IBM warrants that when the program is used in the specified operating environment, it will conform to its specifications. The warranty applies only to the unmodified portion of the program. IBM does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the program or that IBM will correct all program defects. You are responsible for the results obtained from the use of the program.

IBM provides you with access to IBM databases containing information on known program defects, defect corrections, restrictions, and bypasses at no additional charge. For further information, consult the IBM Software Support Handbook found at

IBM will maintain this information for at least one year after the original licensee acquires the program (warranty period).

Program technical support

For IBM Sterling and Fulfillment Suite V9.1, technical support will be available for a minimum of three years from the general availability date as long as your Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) is in effect.

For WebSphere Commerce V7.0, the technical support period remains unchanged with a minimum of five years from the general availability date as long as your Software Subscription and Support is in effect. Refer to WebSphere Commerce V7.0, Software Announcement 209-362, dated October 27, 2009.

Technical support allows you to obtain assistance (via telephone or electronic means) from IBM for product-specific, task-oriented questions regarding the installation and operation of the program product. Software Subscription and Support (Software Maintenance) also provides you with access to updates (modifications or fixes), releases, and version of the program. You will be notified, via announcement letter, of discontinuance of support with 12 months' notice. If you require additional technical support from IBM, including an extension of support beyond the discontinuance date, contact your IBM representative or IBM Business partner. This extension may be available for a fee.

Money-back guarantee

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the program and you are the original licensee, you may obtain a refund of the amount you paid for it, if within 30 days of your invoice date you return the program and its PoE to the party from whom you obtained it. If you downloaded the program, you may contact the party from whom you acquired it for instructions on how to obtain the refund.

For clarification, note that (1) for programs acquired under the IBM International Passport Advantage offering, this term applies only to your first acquisition of the program and (2) for programs acquired under any of IBM's On/Off Capacity on Demand (On/Off CoD) software offerings, this term does not apply since these offerings apply to programs already acquired and in use by you.

Product upgrades and Technical Support are provided by the Software Subscription and Support (Software Maintenance) offering as described in the Agreements. Product upgrades provide the latest versions and releases to entitled software and Technical Support provides voice and electronic access to IBM support organizations, worldwide.

IBM includes one year of Software Subscription and Support (Software Maintenance) with each program license acquired. The initial period of Software Subscription and Support (Software Maintenance) can be extended by the purchase of a renewal option, if available.

While your Software Subscription and Support (Software Maintenance) is in effect, IBM provides you assistance for your routine, short duration installation and usage (how-to) questions, and code-related questions. IBM provides assistance via telephone and, if available, electronic access, only to your information systems (IS) technical support personnel during the normal business hours (published prime shift hours) of your IBM support center. (This assistance is not available to your end users.) IBM provides Severity 1 assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Sub-capacity pricing terms and conditions

To be eligible for sub-capacity pricing, the machine on which the eligible products are installed and running must be eligible for sub-capacity pricing terms and conditions. Software pricing, at less than full machine capacity for eligible products, apply when running:

  • AIX 5L™ V5.1, or later, on an IBM System p® 690 or equivalent partition-capable operating system and machine
  • OS/400® V5R1, or later, running on an IBM System i®
  • Linux running in an LPAR under AIX 5L V5.1, OS/400 V5R1, or in a partition on an equivalent partition-capable operating system and server

Sub-capacity pricing for eligible products is based on the current program pricing methodology, but the number of processors will be determined based on the sum of processors for all partitions where the program is defined (used). To obtain pricing at less than full machine capacity for eligible products, you are required to:

  • Install and use, when available, IBM's license use management program, which installs with eligible IBM programs.
  • Install available updates to the operating system and eligible products such that license use can be accurately managed.
  • Determine if the use of sub-capacity pricing terms results in a reduced requirement for entitlements; you can reallocate the entitlement difference by distributing entitlements across a larger or different set of systems, or reserve them for future growth. There will be no refunds for these freed up entitlements. Subscription, Software Maintenance and support volumes, and entitlements for existing contracts will continue at the same levels as the acquired licenses.

The Electronic Services news page is a single Internet entry point that replaces the multiple entry points traditionally used to access IBM Internet services and support. The news page enables you to gain easier access to IBM resources for assistance in resolving technical problems.

The Electronic Service Agent™ is no-additional-charge software that resides on your server. It monitors events and transmits system inventory information to IBM on a periodic, client-defined timetable. The Electronic Service Agent automatically reports hardware problems to IBM. Early knowledge about potential problems enables IBM to deliver proactive service that may result in higher system availability and performance. In addition, information collected through the Service Agent is made available to IBM service support representatives when they help answer your questions or diagnose problems. Installation and use of IBM Electronic Service Agent for problem reporting enables IBM to provide better support and service for your IBM server.
