IBM Maximo Asset Management

IBM Maximo Asset Management V7.6 builds on the foundation of capabilities, providing asset intensive organizations in manufacturing, facilities, transportation, oil and gas, and energy and utilities the tools to better manage their work, assets and service delivery.

The requirements driving content in Maximo Asset Management V7.6 have been built based on client and industry-driven needs. Some of these features are available to a broader range of clients by delivering them in the core IBM Maximo Asset Management solution.

New features available in IBM Maximo Asset Management focus on the user experience, analytics, serviceability, and multitenant support:

  • Modern look and feel, including new colors, fonts, and layout.

  • Side navigation bar for quicker and easier access to frequently used applications and actions.

  • Hover dialogs that provide additional details behind a field without having to click through to the full record.

  • Exclusive record editing preventing other users from overwriting changes.

  • Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Viewer application where users can collaborate and see additional details behind a KPI such as trends and history.

  • Administrators can create multiple similar KPIs using a new KPI template application, leveraging a variable within the SQL.

  • Calculations and summaries available for adhoc reporting.

  • Bundled entitlement to IBM Cognos Business Intelligence V10.2.1 and workspace content integrated in to Maximo.

  • Crew management for more flexible scheduling options.

  • Service addresses for locations and assets so they can be displayed on a new map control.

  • Uses IBM Rational installation manager technology.

IBM Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager V7.5.1

IBM Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager delivers health, safety, and environment capabilities for incident reporting, risk assessment, corrective action, quality assurance, inspection, management of change, condition reporting, training, permit to work, and audits and surveys. When coupled with IBM Maximo's capabilities in work management, scheduling, preventive maintenance, job plan creation, monitoring, document control, reporting, and collaboration, Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager V7.5.1 provides a closed-loop management platform that focuses on execution excellence. Being able to link health, safety, and environmental activities to specific assets, classes of assets, or locations provides an extensive venue to view and manage associated risks and compliance.

IBM Maximo for Nuclear Power

IBM Maximo for Nuclear Power provides advanced Enterprise Asset Management functionality for nuclear power electric generating stations. IBM Maximo for Nuclear Power supports all aspects of maintenance, equipment inspection, related supply chain activities, and the tracking of the complex requirements that are involved when a piece of equipment is removed from service for maintenance

IBM Maximo for Oil and Gas

IBM Maximo for Oil and Gas provides additional capabilities on top of baseline Maximo to support the business process of oil, gas, and petrochemical customers. Applications are added to eight Maximo modules. The additional applications address oil and gas customer requirements in the areas of work prioritization, planning, regulatory compliance, defect and incident management, continuous improvement, action tracking, risk assessment, control of work, management of change, knowledge management and organizational learning. An Operations module has been created to provide an operator log capability. In addition we incorporate failure code and classification data in accordance with international standard ISO14224 and integration with plant control systems and the Chemicals and Petroleum Integrated Information Framework using the MIMOSA standard.

IBM Maximo Oil & Gas V7.5.1 addresses many key areas such as operations management, integrity management, risk management, investigation management, work management, asset management, maintenance, repair and operations supply management, compliance

IBM Maximo for Transportation

IBM Maximo for Transportation provides transportation organizations with features to improve the reliability and availability of critical transportation assets, such as cars, trucks, buses, trains, vessels, and aircraft.

This industry-specific solution helps manage critical aspects of each assets life cycle, while providing key capabilities such as automated alerts, campaigns, life-cycle accounting, fuel system integration, industry codes, motor pool capabilities, telematics integration, drivers logs, warranty recovery, recent and repeat repair notification and mechanics clipboard. Maximo for Transportation helps to address the stringent requirements of regulatory bodies, while also adhering to industry-standard coding structures for industries such as trucking, rail, and aviation. Best practices are built into the solution to help extend asset life, optimize spare parts management, reduce road calls and incidents, and increase planned maintenance.

This is a complete solution for managing all transportation asset types, including fleets of cars, trucks, buses, locomotives and rail vehicles, aircraft and vessels, adding capabilities over Maximo Asset Management. It can be combined with Maximo Asset Configuration Manager to support Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of aircraft.

IBM Maximo for Transportation provides:

  • Advanced Asset Management capabilities for equipment status, meter change out and history, meter import, position codes, serial number changes and warranty recovery

  • Enhanced Work Management capabilities for campaigns, industry codes, labor certification, maintenance alerts, mechanics clip board and outside repair orders

  • Extended inventory management features for cycle counting and fuel tank management

IBM Maximo for Utilities

IBM Maximo for Utilities enables customers in the electric, gas and water utility industries to efficiently and effectively manage all of their assets used in the transmission and distribution of electricity, gas and water. The solution addresses key business challenges by optimizing asset performance, complying with industry regulations and leveraging industry best practices. This solution is configurable to keep pace with the ever changing business and regulatory requirements of utilities. Additional capabilities have been added to support advanced planning and scheduling in IBM Maximo for Utilities including CPM for Crews, and Work Crew Gantt View. Further development of this product is now focused on supporting IUN/ Smart Grid features for a smarter planet.

IBM Maximo for Life Sciences

IBM Maximo for Life Sciences/Calibration provides functionality and capability for managing the calibration of assets, particularly instruments and measuring & test equipment completely within Maximo. The IBM Maximo for Life Science/Calibration product provides the capability to create, gather, track and maintain a history of asset calibration data. This provides the framework for calibration documentation. Maximo Calibration also provides traceability and reverse traceability capabilities. Traceability identifies exactly which M&TE was used to calibrate an asset. Reverse Traceability identifies exactly which assets M&TE was used to calibrate.

IBM Maximo Adapter for Microsoft Project

IBM Maximo Adapter for Microsoft Project brings the power and flexibility of Maximo Asset Management together with Microsoft Project, a leading desktop project management application. Maximo Adapter for Microsoft Project enables planners and schedulers to work with Maximo data from within Microsoft Project. Users can display and interactively analyze work management data including work orders ,preventive maintenance (PM) and resource data. Its embedded forms, dialogs and filters in Microsoft Project allow quick access to Maximo data and added functionality related to work and resource planning.

IBM Maximo Adapter for Primavera

A number of Maximo customers utilize enterprise project management software package such as Primavera to manage large, enterprise level projects. Customers would like to integrate exceptional work planning capabilities of Maximo with the project management functionality of Primavera. The Maximo Adapter for Primavera provides bi-directional integration between both systems, allowing users to view, schedule and work within Maximo with project data from Primavera as well as update Primavera with progress and new work.

IBM Maximo Asset Configuration Manager

IBM Maximo Asset Configuration Manager (ACM) provides capabilities for the management of complex assets for organizations operating assets in safety critical and highly regulated industries where asset configuration management forms the bedrock of the organizations ability to operate. Conventional systems for managing Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) data have often proved inefficient because they rely on a cumulative transactions approach that represents only the latest configuration. Prior configurations cannot easily be extrapolated, and retrospective corrections are complicated and error- prone. IBM Maximo Asset Configuration Manager provides aircraft and rail life-cycle management solutions that can actively manage and calculate MRO-related data in real time, from any point in time. This capability, called component life accounting, can save time and money and help reduce operational and compliance risk, but will also better support data conflict management, data cleansing and forecasting activities while providing a more straightforward interface to external systems.

IBM Maximo Change and Corrective Action Manager

Provides functionality required to turn Incidents and Problems into Corrective and Preventative actions.

IBM Maximo Calibration

Provides all requirements for traceability and reverse traceability, all calibration history data, calibration data sheets and required reporting.

IBM Maximo Spatial Asset Management

IBM Maximo Spatial Asset Management allows users to visualize all assets and work in their geospatial context to optimize resources and decisions supporting Spatial Business Analysis. Maximo Spatial will continue to improve its ability to operate on multiple GIS platforms using JavaScript, the REST API, and SQL that creates and updates GIS features at the databases level. The Spatial architecture supports Federated Databases and the ability to manage authorization and consumption of external data securely while inside Maximo.

IBM Maximo Asset Management Essentials

Enables smaller organizations to organize, track, and manage asset and work management processes with industry-leading technology.

IBM Generic Maximo Enterprise Adapter

Maximo Enterprise Adapter enables quick connection/sharing with enterprise systems and a complete integration environment. It maintains agility and resiliency of asset management practice by managing and integrating asset and work management with the rest of the enterprise.

IBM Maximo Mobile Suite

IBM Maximo Mobile solutions are versatile, easy-to-use applications designed specifically for the mobile workforce. Mobile workers can use the software with mobile devices to perform their work remotely, sending and receiving critical information when and where it is needed, gain better control of their assets and services and help improve their efficiency.

  • Maximo Mobile Inventory Manager - Provides remote access to the Maximo inventory management processes.

  • Maximo Mobile Work Manager Provides remote access to asset and work management processes.

  • Maximo Mobile Asset Manager Provides remote access to asset and work management processes.

IBM Maximo Mobile Suite V7.5.1 supports the use of Android devices in addition to the Windows Mobile devices supported in past releases.

IBM Maximo professionals can streamline field based work management processes by capturing results as they occur with IBM Maximo Mobile Work Manager. IBM Maximo Mobile Suite can execute critical inventory actions in the storeroom or receiving dock via IBM Maximo Mobile Inventory Manager. IBM Maximo Space Management for Facilities

Enables users through a visual tool to more effectively manage space by using drag and drop capabilities to place assets, people and furniture more effectively and efficiently within a facility leading to a reduction in the overall cost of occupancy.

IBM Maximo Asset Management provides facilities managers with the software needed to manage smarter buildings, address shrinking budgets, stringent regulatory requirements and provide improved satisfaction for building occupants. With visibility into work plans and scheduling Maximo ensures consistent delivery and execution of services needed to meet the above goals.

IBM Maximo Data Center Infrastructure Management

IBM Maximo Data Center Infrastructure Management will provide capacity planning capabilities for Data Center assets, including rack views and power consumption data. Data Center Infrastructure Management is the process of managing the physical infrastructure of the data center including equipment, space, power, cooling, environmental systems, and network connectivity.

IBM Maximo Archiving with Infosphere Optim Data Growth Solution

IBM Maximo Archiving with InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution bundles the IBM Maximo Archiving Adapter for InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution and the InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution engine. IBM InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution is the leading enterprise archiving and data retention solution in the industry, which enables standardizing archiving and data retention across the enterprise. IBM Maximo Archiving provides predefined archive and restore definitions for high growth Maximo transaction data areas in work, service, asset, procurement, and business process management. These definitions can be configured to a specific Maximo configuration as well as extended to address customer-specific extensions.

IBM Maximo Archiving with InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution pre-serves the data integrity of Maximo data and include essential metadata, so that each archived business object represents a historical reference snapshot of business activity in Maximo. This immutable archive format supports data retention compliance and helps you respond to audit and discovery requests to archive data. It also offers storage device independence and strategies to best leverage storage requirements. Manage application data, based on the data's evolving business value and access requirements through tiered storaged strategies. Current Maximo trans-actions remain in the high- performance online transaction processing (OLTP) environment. Historical data for reporting can be maintained in mid-tier storage, helping manage costs while still meeting service requirements. In addition, historical or reference data can be stored on long-term storage devices, keeping archived business transactions accessible until legal retention periods expire and archives can be deleted.

IBM Maximo Archiving Adapter for InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution V7.5

IBM Maximo Archiving Adapter for InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution provides predefined archive and restore definitions for high growth Maximo transaction data areas in work, service, asset, procurement, and business process management. It adds Maximo archive definitions to the IBM InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution. These definitions can be configured to your specific Maximo configuration as well as extended to address your specific extensions. They preserve the data integrity and includes essential metadata, so that each archived business object re-presents a historical reference snapshot of business activity in Maximo. Both IBM Maximo Asset Management and InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution are prerequisites for IBM Maximo Archiving Adapter for InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution.

IBM Maximo for Government V7.5

IBM Maximo for Government is an enterprise asset management software for long-term and short-term planning; preventive, reactive, and condition-based maintenance; schedule management; resource optimization; and key performance indicators. It helps you manage asset, work, spare part inventory and supply chain management from a single system. In addition, you are able to define service offerings and establish service level agreements (SLAs) in order to align service levels with your business objectives. IBM Maximo for Government V7.5 focuses on the supply chain and work management business areas.

    Mobile devices have much less computing power than a typical laptop or desktop computer.
