Overview

IBM Implementation Services for TotalStorage Productivity Center, announced in Services Announcement 606-014, dated July 18, 2006 , has been enhanced and renamed. The new name is " IBM Implementation Services for Tivoli Storage Productivity Center (TPC)."

This update to IBM Implementation Services for Tivoli Storage Productivity Center enables you to take advantage of the latest software features of TPC 5.1. Two service options are available to meet your needs:

• TPC Basic (feature code 8616) includes:
  • Installation of Tivoli Storage Productivity Center software with all defaults
  • Configuration of three supported IBM storage subsystems
  • Discovery of one Virtual Center or ESX instance, and one SAN switch Common Information Model Object Manager (CIMOM)
  • Basic skills instruction for up to two of your designated technical personnel as the implementation tasks are performed
• TPC Plus (feature code 8617) includes:
  • Installation of Tivoli Storage Productivity Center software
  • Initial customization and enablement of some of the more advanced features of the product
  • Configuration of up to ten supported IBM storage subsystems, and three non-IBM storage CIMOMs
  • Discovery of up to three Virtual Center or ESX instances, and up to five SAN switch CIMOMs
  • Assistance with the implementation of the required TPC agents, up to 500 Storage Resource Agents (SRAs) on supported operating system platforms (that you identify)
  • Basic skills instruction for up to two of your designated technical personnel as the implementation tasks are performed
