IBM WebSphere Commerce
WebSphere Commerce is the industry's first e-commerce
offering for enterprise customers using Linux. It enables
your company to operate more efficiently with better
customer service and support, all from a single e-commerce
site that stays open for business virtually all the
time.
Supporting transactions in various languages and currencies
is not enough. WebSphere Commerce supports region-specific
sales tax and shipping rules, customized product catalogs
and localized payment methods and pricing. The software
allows for anytime, anywhere access to e-commerce
sites with notification messages, automatic content
selection and customized shopping flow, all tailored
to individual devices.
"By running Linux and WebSphere Commerce on our existing
mainframe hardware, we have a robust and extremely reliable
development and deployment platform that enhances our
e-commerce initiatives," says Frank Snyder, manager
of technical support for Lawson Products, a manufacturing
parts distributor located in the United States. "The
combination of tools and functions built into WebSphere
Commerce lets us build an e-commerce site that
will satisfy our customers' needs. WebSphere Commerce
will also allow us to integrate our back-end systems
already in place, saving us both time and money."
